Rev. Linda Lennon - Care Core Staff Representative

Rev. Harry W. Keppley Jr. (Interim Sr. Pastor)

Mission and Vision Statement
Mission Statement - The Care Core is principally, but not limited to, a healing and care, lay ministry; an outreach to the members of St. Paul’s and to the surrounding community
Vision Statement - The Care Core is meant to augment existing professional care, not to replace it. The trend in health care has been to minimize the use of care facilities to reduce costs. This has produced opportunities for Churches and other people interested organizations to provide care during times of rehabilitation and/or confinement at home. These services may be as simple as fellowship through general visitation, or as complex as the Parish Nurse’s visit to help organize medication schedules and other skilled services. The services could be confined to training the family in caring for a disabled family member, or could be supplying vital informational brochures, or relaying the need for a Pastoral visit. The vision of the Core is to provide those services which are needed by our congregation, those services which our members have skills and talents to provide, those services which are consistent with the concept of a lay ministry.
Accountability - The Care Core is a ministry of St. Paul’s U. C. C., and as such, is directly accountable to the Spiritual Council and the Sr. Minister of the Church.
Core Staff The Care Core is in need of both trained professionals and caring lay people.  If you have a burning love for people, then the Care Core needs you.   If you have questions, contact any of the pastors.
